Chief Anukam commends Bishop Okorocha





The interim president for Owerri town Communities' Assembly (OCA) Chief Dr, Christian Oweaya Anukam (Agbawodike-Izu) has commended the Anglican Bishop of Owerri, Rt. Rev. Cyril C. Okorocha, PhD, for taking the Diocese to greater heights.

Chief Anukam made this commendation shortly on his return from Abuja at the weekend to be part of the dedication of the new church buildings of Saint Michael and All Angles new Owerri by Bishop today.

He equally expressed gratitude to the priest in charge of the church, Rev. Can. Onyinyeoma Onyeagocha, and the Archdeacon and Vicar of Christ’s Church Owerri, Ven Zion Ngoka, for their effort in Gods vineyard through church planting and spiritual growth of their congregation, adding that Owerri people are proud of them as their indigenous priests.

He said that St Michaels' and All Angles Church is close to his residence and that aroused his interest. “We gave them land to add to what they had during the tenure of Late Ven .A. Ukonu and Ven Zion Ngoka who supervised the church Owerri” he said.

Chief Anukam who is a Catholic commended the orthodox and some Pentecostal churches for their exemplary way of Christian evangelism in Imo State, and cursed the government to check the excesses of the fake men of God who hide under Pentecostalism to cause havoc in the society.
