HTC Uratta Chapel gets new name





The Anglican Bishop of Owerri, the Rt. Rev. Cyril Okorocha PhD, at the weekend, paid a pastoral visit to the Holy Trinity Church (HTC) Uratta Parish where he performed the foundation laying ceremony of a new church.

Bishop Okorocha, at the occasion also named the new church St. Michael's and All Angels' Church Umuorii. Before now, it was known as the HTC Chapel Umuorii.

He thanked members of the congregation who may have contributed in one way of the other to the establishment of the new church and prayed God to enrich them with abundant blessings.

The Prelate donated N250,000 towards the roofing of the church.

In his remarks, the Vicar of HTC Parish, Rev. Canon Japhet Nwachukwu PhD, expressed gratitude to the bishop and his entourage for their assistance in realizing their dream of planting a church and expanding their coast in evangelism.

Earlier, the Bishop's chaplain, Rev. Canon Unaeze Ukaegbu, concluded the opening prayer at the occasion which witnessed large turnout.
